SelectPlan for Women is a new family planning benefit
for under and uninsured women in Pennsylvania. Many women can receive
free birth control, Pap tests, sexually transmitted infection (STI)
testing, and more through SelectPlan for Women.
All services are confidential and free to you!
What services are covered under SelectPlan for Women?
SelectPlan for Women covers family planning services, some of which
include:
- Birth Control
- Emergency Contraception
- Pap Tests
- STI Testing and Treatment
- HIV Testing and Counseling
- Breast Exams
- Routine gynecologic health care
Services are always confidential!
Do I qualify for SelectPlan for Women?
You likely qualify if you:
- are between the ages of 18 and
44 years old
- are a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
- are a resident of Pennsylvania
- have no or limited health insurance
- are not pregnant
- meet income requirements
How Do I Sign Up for SelectPlan for Women?
Enrollment is easy!

print, and fill out a paper application.
You can also enroll in SelectPlan for Women at one of our four health
centers. Our staff is available to assist you with the enrollment
process on-site and answer any questions that you may have about
this new benefit.
When you come to your appointment, bring this
information with you:
- Social Security number
- Birth certificate or U.S. Passport
- PA driver’s license or state-issued photo ID
- A recent pay stub or employer’s letter stating pay for
a typical pay period for all working family members in your household
- Proof of other income, such as child support
- Insurance card if you have health insurance
If you don’t have all of these documents, please bring in
what you do have and PPCC’s staff will help get your application
started.
Is there any cost to me if I enroll in SelectPlan for Women?
No. This is a FREE program. If you qualify for SelectPlan for Women,
there are no co-pays for your visits, no visit limits, and no cost
to you for your birth control prescriptions and medications.
What if I don’t qualify for SelectPlan for Women?
If you don’t qualify for SelectPlan for Women, you may qualify
for other confidential, free or reduced cost family planning services
available through Planned Parenthood. You will never be denied services
because of inability to pay or if you don’t have insurance.
If circumstances change that would make you eligible for SelectPlan
for Women, you can apply at any time.
