It can be confusing to receive information from
two or even three Planned Parenthoods. We want to help you understand
the roles of these very different organizations, which all bear
the same name.
Planned Parenthood of Chester County
(PPCC) is your local affiliate of Planned Parenthood
Federation of America. Your tax-deductible contribution helps
us provide comprehensive reproductive health care services,
sexuality education, and advocacy to thousands of women, men
and teens in Chester County each year. We depend on Chester
County residents for support.
Planned Parenthood
Advocates of Chester County (PPACC) is a separate arm of Planned Parenthood
of Chester County. The Advocates educate and organize pro-choice
voters locally to use the electoral and legislative processes
for choice. Unlike gifts made to PPCC, gifts made to PPACC
are not tax deductible.
Planned Parenthood
Federation of America (PPFA) is based in New York City and Washington, DC.
Contributions to PPFA support national and international programs
of research, education, and public affairs, not programs and
services in Chester County.
Planned Parenthood
Pennsylvania Advocates (PPPA) is our state lobbying office in Harrisburg and
the Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania PAC is our statewide Political
Action Committee which is also based in Harrisburg.
Neighboring Planned Parenthood affiliates
may also be sending you mail. These affiliates may include Planned
Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania, which serves Philadelphia,
Montgomery and Delaware Counties or Planned Parenthood of Delaware,
which serves the state of Delaware. While we share some similarities,
they are not part of PPCC.
