GYN Services
photo Gynecology is health care for women. It helps you take good care of your sexual and reproductive health. Routine gynecological care prevents illness and discomfort, allows for early detection of cancers of the breast and cervix, detects sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and other conditions before they cause serious damage, prevents sterility, and promotes healthy pregnancy and childbirth.

Staying healthy is important, whether you're young or old, married or single, sexually active or not or whether you're lesbian, straight or bisexual. PPCC understands that good gynecological care is key to good health. The health care PPCC provides is professional, confidential, and accessible.

Gynecological services at PPCC include:

  • annual exams, including pap tests and breast exams
  • problem visits
  • family planning and contraceptive services
  • emergency contraception
  • testing and treatment for STIs
  • free and confidential HIV counseling and testing
  • pregnancy testing
  • options counseling, including referrals to prenatal care programs and adoption agencies
  • up to 13.6 week abortion procedures (West Chester Health Center)
  • colposcopy and cryotherapy for pre-cancerous cervical conditions
  • loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) for high-grade cervical dysplasia (West Chester Health Center)
  • mid-life services for menopausal women

Already have an appointment?

Please bring a photo ID with you at the time of your appointment. You will not be seen without a photo ID.

Please bring your insurance card with you if you will be using your health insurance. If you do not have health insurance, or choose not to use it at the time of your visit, you will be charged according to a sliding fee scale. If you have health insurance, you will be charged your regular co-pay.

What is a sliding fee scale?

Through private donations and some government funding, PPCC is able to provide services on a sliding scale. Fees for all eligible clients are determined based on household size and income. Clients may decline to provide this income and elect to pay the full fee.
